Nothing better than an afternoon on the beach. It has been a long time coming and this is the furthest we've travelled since life as we knew it changed. So. Good. (But also a bit weird.)

Sometimes I am really not sure what on earth is going through my son's head. He wanted to know if he'd fit in the chest of drawers. Of course. 🦧
Have SO MUCH work to do this weekend so of course I am spending precious minutes taking photos of my current pleasure read and the cake I made whilst putting of starting said work. Am very much enjoying Three Things About Elsie by Joanna Cannon. (The cake was a little crumbly but very light - Nutella and yoghurt in it!)
This week we said goodbye to a remarkable member of the Ryrie family.
I have had many reasons to be thankful for the NHS in my life, today was definitely one of them.
Should be reading about curriculums and formative assessment but decided cake would definitely help the return to school tomorrow. Mini lemon, chocolate and coffee sponges. Bit rough around the edges but think they'll taste just fine.
Anyone else ridiculously excited to get the washing on the line today?
